Help Luna walk again

Hi, my name is Jackie, and this is my dog, Luna. We are starting this fundraiser to be able to get our dog leg surgery.

During the pandemic, we noticed a limp and thought if we carried her, and stopped her from jumping off things, it would phase out. We were wrong, the limp only got worse.

We took her to multiple vets around Malibu and Santa Monica area.

After several tests and radiologist visits, they sent us home with a Meloxicam prescription (Tylenol for dogs). One doctor even mentioned she could be "faking it", like our dog was just pretending when she would roll over at night and scream in pain...

 

The medication provided actually started severe stomach issues, leading to bloody poops and no appetite.

This carried on for about 2 months before we were able to control the dosing of the meds while following our vets instructions.

 

3 weeks ago she stopped walking all together...

 

I carry her to the water bowl, I bring the food bowl to her, I hold up her bottom so she can go to the bathroom..

Saturday we finally got her back into the vet and we were not going to leave until we had answers.

She needs surgery to repair her Patella and ligaments and hip  on her left leg and possibly her right in the upcoming months.

 

Please help get Luna back to walking and feeling better <3
