Save A Friend Puerto Rico

Save a Friend Puerto Rico is a 5013c non-profit organization registered in Washington, State but based in Luquillo, PR whose goal is to reduce the amount of homeless dogs on the island. We are volunteer based and receive all our funding and supplies through donations.

We rescue stray dogs, give medical treatments and make sure they are healthy and socialized before arranging their adoption in anew home.

Most of our dogs are flown to the States. We believe in teamwork and volunteer withother rescue groups and the Spay-a-thon.

After hurricane Maria caused such devastation, we all found ourselves dedicating moreand more time to the effort of animal rescue. We have saved and found homes for hundreds of dogs since the storm. It has been quite a challenge, but well worth the effort!

We plan to develop and implement additional programs including capture-spay/neuter-release to supplement our ongoing rescue effort.

We are looking for help from all of you to raise money for the shelter. Every single dollar goes directly to caring for the incredible dogs we rescue. Money raised will help take care of their vet bills, items for the shelter necessary to care for the dogs, and airfare to ship them out to their forever homes.
