Our son, Mannix Glines, was an outstanding athlete and honor student at Union High School in Roosevelt, Utah.Mannix is a 43 year old crisis counselor at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was in a motorcycle accident in late June 2017.Mannix was in the intensive care unit at Intermountain Health Care Center in SLC for 5 weeks; 4 weeks with a breathing tube.Broken arm, broken leg and ruptured spleen all required surgeries. Also had damaged pancreas, damaged and collapsed lung, 7 broken ribs, damaged kidneys, internal bleeding and numerous bruises and contusions.Mannix was in rehab working hard to learn to walk and talk then was hit with an internal infection that required 2 additional surgeries in 2 days and removal of a portion of one rib. After 10 weeks in the hospital Mannix was transferred to an acute care hospital for rehab.Mannix is working hard to get his voice working, get off dialysis and back on his feet again so he can get back to work helping vets at the V A. IT WILL HAPPEN!Mannix has no leave left and therefore no income. FMLA is expiring this month so insurance premiums will need to be paid out of pocket.Mannix needs financial help to pay for outstanding rents, utilities, insurances, credit cards, and medical bills not covered by health insurance.$25,000 is now owed, not counting medical bills to come and future insurance premiums for COBRA.Our family gives a great big THANKS to friends and family for PRAYERS and support for Mannix.VA HOSPITAL in SLC has been very supportive of Mannix. Thanks to administration and staff for your help.
