Save Ethiopian lives from famine

My friends, at the moment 8.5 million Ethiopians are facing the dire consequences of a drought that threatens the lives of thousands unless immediate action is taken. It is estimated that this number will rise to 15 millions by next year. I know that all of you have deep feelings abut this unfolding calamity and want to help as I do.
I am setting this funding mechanism so that we can start with a collection of $10,000 and continue based on the success of this first wave and in the meantime find partners in Ethiopia who can buy food and distribute it to those we determine need it the most. I feel that this transparent way of collecting money will be the easiest and that any amount will help. I have already been contacted by many of you with excellent suggestions. I will provide you with timely updates and inform you with progress and how your money will be used to reach it's destination.
