Support Family Affected by Tragic Fire
Donation protected
Description Updated 1/6/25:
In a tragic house fire on January 1, 2025, Heath Grogan, Nicole Grogan, Damion Stratton, Hazel Stratton, and Oliver Strattons lives were changed forever. Nicole (22) and Oliver (12 days), lost their lives. Hazel, Damion, and Heath survived; however, Damion and Hazel remain in WestChester Burn Center. The family lost all of their possessions and their home.
On behalf of the Grogan family, we are accepting donations to help through this troubling time. There is a gofundme to benefit the family. Additionally, funds can be venmoed to @caitlinlachance (last four of the phone number are 3906). All funds raised will be given to Heath Grogan (Nicole’s father and the homeowner) to help cover funeral expenses, medical bills, and other expenses that come from this tragedy. Both the Grogan and Stratton families need support with gas cards/gift cards/money to help ease the financial strain that comes with regularly going to NY to see Damion and Hazel.
Additionally, the families are asking for clothing/supplies for Damion, Heath, and Hazel. The following is needed:
Girls clothing - size 2T/3T
Girls shoes - size 6/7
Diapers - size 5/6
Wipes for sensitive skin
Men’s shoes - sizes 10 and 12
Men’s shirts - extra large and 2xl
Men’s pants - 32/32 and 36/38 (XL sweatpants are also a specific request)
Toiletries for Heath, Damion, and Hazel.
Toys/blankets/comfort items/activities for Hazel
Children’s snacks (pouches/puffs/Mac and cheese cups/good 2 grow juices)
Donations can be dropped off at the Arlington Deli (3713 Vt Rt 7a, Arlington VT), Oliver Subaru (128 us-7, Rutland VT), the Gamers Grotto (457 Main St, Bennington VT), and the Bennington Community Market. If we have not reached out and you would like to be a drop off location, please reach out.
Any help that can be extended to the families during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.
