In Loving Memory of Marvin Miller

Donation protected
Hello. This Go Fund Me is to raise funds to help cover funeral services and burial expenses for my beloved husband Marvin H. Miller Jr. After suffering a stroke on February 19 and fighting valiantly to survive in the weeks that followed, he succumbed to complications and went to his rest in my arms, and passed into the glorious embrace of Jesus, and is now joyously reunited in Heaven with his cherished son Michael Miller, his dear mother Sally MacKenzie & his adored first wife Sharon Miller, and he now has gone ahead to prepare a place for me, for when my soul is reunited with his once more in paradise. Marvin passed peacefully, comfortably and completely surrounded by love - he ceased breathing as quietly & gently as the snuff of a candle flame goes out and he experienced no suffering or discomfort. Marvin was a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and he was a devout and faithful servant who lived God's will here on earth during his lifetime - he possessed a pure heart, as he was incredibly loyal, kind and extremely generous to a fault. Marvin truly was the best man I have ever known and I was blessed to have had the privilege and honor of sharing my life with him these last 20 years - he was not only my husband but my very best friend, my companion, my confidant and my lover as well. Marvin was also a proud patriot who served his country with distinction, honor and bravery in the Vietnam War. And he was a rough and tumble ironworker for 35 years and a member of the local 424 chapter. In retirement, he worked for several years as a security officer assigned to the DMV, where he made lifelong friends with all the state employees he worked alongside and who brought meaning, purpose and joy to his life during his sunset years. Marvin was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and his favorite hobby was fly fishing and collecting silver dollars. Marvin dearly loved animals, especially his pets - his Yorkie Sophie, who was his faithful & constant companion and who he doted on with endless treats & scratches, and his 40+yr old parrot Beau, as well as Tia, Princess and Andy who crossed the rainbow bridge and who greeted him at the pearly gates. Marvin is survived by his brother Jeffrey Miller & his wife Karen and his sister Bettie Martinez and her husband Philip (Deacon) and by his beloved nieces & nephews: Philip Jr., Buffy, Jamie and Jeffrey Jr.
