Help Save Dublin

Meet Dublin.
She is an 8 month old Tibetan Mastiff, excited to live her new life on 15 acres in the mountains! She is the most bubbly of her pack, and the LOUDEST! If you know this breed, they will guard their territory from afar with one of the loudest barks of all dogs! The morning we all woke, and she did not storm outside to tell the world she is awake and ready to challenge all; we knew something was wrong. Immediately we identified the same symptoms that took her father from us.
Dublin is the only Black and Tan of her litter, just like her father Juno was.
Her father recently passed very quickly and we were heart broken. Now Dublin has been overtaken with the same symptoms, and we can not identify what is taking our dogs. Our fear is we will not figure this out before it spreads to the rest of our dogs.
Dublin was to be 1 of 6 LGD (livestock guardian dogs) that would help patrol our livestock on our homestead. She was the first to take to her job, scaring a fox off our property at 4 months old! Our family has made every decision for our dogs. We moved into the mountains to give them a cool habitat that they are fond of. We are growing our farm with animals for them to care for. They live to protect those that can not protect themselves. Our dogs are our lives, and we have to do whatever it takes to save Dublin and potentially the rest of the pack. We added more photos of the family below.
Why we are raising money
When Juno became ill, we did everything we could to save him. We expended most of our liquid cash, because as you know, saving a dog with an unknown illness is expensive without insurance. We regret that we never had insurance, and now advocate the power and need for it.
We signed up all our dogs for insurance, received approval, entered appraisal phase, and it will activate August 1st, 2019. Dublin became ill July 21st 2019, and we immediately entered the ER. Her temperature was 105 degrees and she could not move. I carried all 80 lbs of puppy into the ER where they began fluids and steroids. We thought we were out of the worst of it after staying over night in intensive care.
We got her loaded up in the truck and headed to the Loveland neurology center with VCA. After a very thorough exam, we identified that something was attacking her upper vertebrae, spinal cord, or central nervous system. But nothing seems to be aligned on what the culprit could be. It could be environmental from wildlife or bugs, everything from bacterial to viral. During the exam, her fever spiked, and she became unresponsive.
She is currently in the ER on fluids, steroids, and antibiotics. We have initiated a response plan to figure out what is attacking her and save her life! Without insurance though, it is very expensive. My wife and I were nervous to ask for help, but pride wont save Dublin.
We are asking for support and donations to help further testing, emergency stays, and any upcoming miscellaneous expenses that insurance will not cover as "Pre-Existing".
How the Donations will be Spent

$512.00
Veterinary Emergency & Rehabilitation Hospital 7/21 to 7/22: $1894.22
Veterinary Center of Colorado Exam & Overnight Hospital Care :

$ 1,424.89 per 36 hours currently spent in hospital
Estimating min 36 - max 108 hours ($4,274.67)
Upcoming for Dublin at Veterinary Specialists of Colorado (VCA):
MRI: $2,500 approx - Holding off for now
Spinal Tap: $1800 approx - Holding off for now
Blood/Bacterial/Parasite/Toxin Tests: $890 min - unknown
This is for current care and diagnostic. Treatment once we figure out what is attacking our dogs, is unknown. Then due to pre-existing conditions, we do not foresee insurance covering any future care.
We estimate out of pocket to be $10,000 minimum to find a cure before treatment. We will keep you updated.
We appreciate your support!
Thank you first and foremost for reading our story. Any and all donations will help us reach a happy and healthy life for Dublin and her pack. At the very least, please mention our need in passing, and even share on your social media. Our goal is to raise donations quickly to continue to pay up front for diagnoses and treatment. Vet ER requires, we pay on deposits for care.
