Help Jiho ♡

On Tuesday, November 28th 2023,

the life of beloved cook Jiho was forever changed when an impaired driver drove through the north-facing order window and wall of Don’s Drive In.

Standing behind the wall was 48 year old Jiho, manning the deep fryer where he has been a permanent fixture and dedicated employee for years, cooking and even creating popular new menu items, assisting the owner, helping new employees with training and cooking all of the great food Don’s is known for, Jiho drove nearly every day from his home in Federal Way and did a fantastic job every time.

Always cooking and frying with a smile, when long-timee customers asked his name, he would point to himself and say, “Brad Pitt!,” with a big smile.

Jiho’s excellent attitude, strong work ethic, and upbeat mood were permanently disrupted by the Nov. 28th accident, by the sedan that drove through the wall which caused hot deep fryer oil to cover his face and body.

Though Jiho was quickly rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries, Jiho still sustained burns and injuries that will affect him for the rest of his life.

Jiho will be in hospital for the foreseeable future while he is treated for the severe injuries he sustained,.. just for showing up to work and working hard like he did every day.

When long-time customers and friends of Don’s hear about this terrible accident, many want to know how they can help Jiho.

Because he is still in the hospital, friends and family of Jiho have set up this GoFund Me account as a way that the community can give back to Jiho, for all the

good memories and great food he has cooked for Puyallup and customers in the surrounding areas.
