Clayton Waagner's Funeral

In his own words:
My name is Clayton Waagner and this is my testimony. I was born with a complicated heart condition. My parents were told to consider every day with me a blessing. When I was ten days old, I had the first of five heart surgeries. None of the surgeries were able to correct my condition, only prolong my life.  At a very young age, I was determined no longer eligible for a heart transplant.

Throughout my life, I spent countless hours and days in the hospital. In October of 2010 my heart stopped beating for 29 minutes. My mom, ever the woman of faith, continued to pray and ask the medical personnel to keep going. After 29 minutes, they found a faint pulse and hooked me up to life support. My family was called in and warned that I may never be more than a vegetable. Within a week, my heart and lungs were working on their own, and I was physically and mentally back to my normal, and ready to go home. The Doctors were amazed! God wasn't done with me yet.

Throughout my life, my mom and I have put our faith in God and his promise of a new heart and a full life. God's word is powerful and I believe he can do anything! He has no beginning and no end. I serve a God who spoke the world into existence and His power is limitless. I believe in my healing and that His word will not return void. One day I will be whole, and I will continue to thank him daily, until that day arrives.


From his family: Clay's strength and faith in God will forever change our lives. He will be missed more than words can express. We know he is in heaven running around and enjoying his whole body. Our hearts ache for our son, brother and uncle,  but we celebrate his life and rejoice in the fullness of God's mercy and grace.
