Help us say goodbye to Steven, a father, a friend

Hi everyone, my name is Kaity.

It is with overwhelming sadness that I am having to write that a long time friend & father , Steven Howerton has passed away .

Steven was an incredibly strong and caring person . He would give the shirt off his back to help someone even when he had nothing else to offer . Steven had been struggling for many years on and off but we had finally seen a change in him for the better . We truly believed and hoped that things were finally turning around for him . He lost his battle yesterday evening and now more than ever we are needing help to lay him to rest . Steven did not have much family except his father , his best friend and mother of his son Shania , his kids and a few close friends . His father is in Alberta and has been struggling with some health issues recently . Shania recently had a baby and is currently in between jobs , and after having to lay her other child’s father to rest in 2018 she is feeling the emotional and financial strain . I am trying to help her organize this so her and his loved ones can focus on saying goodbye and not have to worry about the funeral costs . Shania will be picking up his father in Alberta and bringing him back with her to BC to organize all further funeral arrangements for Steven . They will need to cover cost of transportation , accommodations , cremation , urn and any other funeral costs that may arise . Any and all help is so deeply appreciated during this difficult time .
