Running a Marathon for Pancreatic Cancer
Let’s run some miles and make a difference together!!
In 2021, I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer. The brightest light in any room, his life was cut far too short by this disease. If this cancer is detected at an early stage, when surgical removal of the tumor is possible, the 5-year survival rate is 42%! Early diagnosis is key for this type of cancer but symptoms can often be hard to detect. Please read the link below to find out more information on early diagnosis: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pancreatic-cancer/symptoms/
So, in order to raise money for this great cause I’ve decided to run the Loch Ness Marathon on 29 September 2024. This will be my first ever marathon so any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for every single donation, it means the world to me and is truly going to a good cause.
