My name is Kyle Pritchard I am 20 years old and am from Sterling, Virginia. I am getting ready to graduate a 12 month faith-based recovery program known as teen challenge that specializes in transforming the lost and hopeless into disciples for Christ.

Prior to teen challenge, I was completely broken. I lived a chaotic life-spending each waking day drowning in shame, guilt, worthlessness, and self destruction. I filled the empty darkness with substances, toxic relationships, and worldly obsessions wondering why I could never be satisfied. Because of his grace, goodness, and unfailing love; God found me in the early months at teen challenge. In all my weakness, defect, and inadequacy he called me his. He called me worthy, he called me strong, and he called me more than enough. His reckless and undeserved love began to flood my soul. All my life I had convinced myself I had to do this alone, until I found strength in admitting powerlessness. I realized that God had always been there- he had never left me or forsaken me- all he wanted was for me to acknowledge, accept, and claim his loving presence in my life.  I had to surrender my ways and focus on trusting, obeying and having faith in the one who gave me everything. Relationships have been restored, chains have been broken, hearts have been mended, fear has subsided and all glory goes to God. It is unfathomable to think about all of the blessings that have flowed into my sight since accepting Jesus into my life. He has taken me from a hopeless slimy pit and set my feet on solid rock. I now find my hope and my strength in the creator of the universe and my world will not be shaken because he is my hiding place. God has had his hand over my life during this time I have spent in teen challenge and he has called me to go deeper. I believe he is calling me to a program called YWAM (Youth With A Mission) a 6 month discipleship training school in Colorado Springs that would provide me with the opportunity to grow more intimately with God through soaking in the word, hearing speakers from all over the world talk about who he is and who we are because of him, and the incredible privilege to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the broken and the lost in different parts of the world! To be a part of such a humbling and powerful experience along with the blessing to watch Gods vision for my life come to pass is what this journey has always been about. To give the lost the tangible hope and liberty Christ so freely gave me.

I write to you today, because God is SO mighty and SO faithful and although I currently do not have the funds necessary to attend this discipleship training school I am standing firm in faith and completely trusting in the Lord –who says he works all things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purposes. The greatest thing I learned during my time here in the program, is that as big as I think God is, he is bigger than that. I know he has me, I know his love is covering me, and his faithfulness will shine when I arrive in Colorado Springs in April to do his work. It is no longer about what I can do, but who he is. Refusing to limit God to what I think he can do takes away the concept of human performance and replaces it with unshakable faith. I pray to dispose of the idea of familiarity in regards to the goodness and faithfulness of God; I will not take for granted his death, resurrection, and salvation by claiming safety and comfortability over my life. He has called us to be dangerous to the kingdom of darkness. We were not created to be small, to settle, or to conform to the rest of the world. I am choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, to be used as a broken vessel, and to passionately believe in God, refusing to pull back when resistance creeps in. The issue is not about whether or not we are going to die, but rather about whether or not we will choose to live- by receiving and acting on what God has called us to do. We so often try to amaze man and impress the world with the things we do or what we have, when our purpose is to amaze Jesus Christ with our unshakable faith. On my own I am nothing, but because of him I can do anything. So with active faith and unwavering belief I ask if you would be willing to step alongside me on this journey and prayerfully consider financially supporting me in making this vision come to pass. Any way you believe you can help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time, donations, and for your powerful prayers that will encourage me to stay steadfast in my pursuit of his good and perfect will. I pray that you would feel Gods favor and blessing in your life and that you would continue to strive to amaze him all the days of your life.

God bless,

Kyle Pritchard
