Help Alexander BEAT Cancer

After clear scans and no detectable cancer at the beginning of July, doctors found nodules in Alexander's lungs and a mass in his abdomen. Courtney, Ian and Alexander are fighting hard and exploring every option for treatment. So many friends have asked what they can do to help, and the GoFundMe campaign is once again circling. ORIGINAL POST (MAY 2021):

On Mother's Day, Courtney Collier and Ian Wood, found out that their warrior son, Alexander, has cancer. It is the news no one wants to get, especially when the patient hasn't even reached his fourth birthday. What is believed to be a Wilm's tumor has taken over Alexander's right kidney and has metastasized on his lungs.

Tomorrow, Alexander, otherwise known as AW, will have a lengthy surgery to remove the tumor from his abdomen. This will begin what will surely be a long road to recovery as his parents and team of doctors carve out his path of care. 

This sweet boy has tackled obstacle after obstacle in his short life, and we have no doubt he will conquer this latest hurdle. As his mom said, he is handling everything like a champ and enjoying the "slumber party" at Children's Hospital. As his journey unfolds, we want to help lessen the financial burden of treatment, so that his parents can help him beat cancer and live a long, healthy life.
