Cash 'Cancer Free by Christmas'

Susan is a vibriant wife and mother of five.  She is a beloved tennis coach and special education teacher as well as treasurered daughter, friend and mentor to many.  Her Christian faith is her guide and strength.   On May 4th, 2015 Susan was diagnoses with Stage 3 triple negative invasive carcinoma which is an aggressive form of breast cancer.  Susan completed a 20 week chemo regiment, a double mastecomy, and 15 rounds of radiation.  She was cancer free from her surgery and given a clean scan in March of 2016.  However, she began having some breathing issues the middle of May.  On June 1st it was confirmed that there were some spots found on her lungs.  She completed some more tests on June 6th and June 9th it was confirmed that the cancer was back.  Susan was in the hospital Monday, June 13th - June 15th in order to complete a number of tests, begin chemo and get set for a very aggressive radiation campaign against this cancer.  It has been confirmed that it is in the outer lining of her brain, lungs, and in the spine (not the spinal cord).  All three will be attacked with daily radiation.  Her chemo treatments are one every 28 days.  The next two weeks will be vital in determing what will happen next.  Her doctor's are also in contact with University Hospital who have just discovered a potential drug regiment that has shown some success fighting triple negative breast cancer.  However, they are doing some tests to see if she is a fit for the studies.  Susan will not be returning to work in the fall.   They will start a new round of insurance deductibles beginning July 1st and there are a lot of questions about costs of what is ahead of them as well as how things will look financially in the fall.  The most important gift you can gift is your prayers but anything you can give financially will truly be a blessing to this family both now and in the near future.  We are praying for a miracle.
