Van Recovery

So the shit has continued to hit the fan. My van has been prepossessed.

I have been behind on my van payments. This was not a serious issue because my biggest event of the year (Pennsic) was coming and catching up was my first priority for that income. My worst Pennsic ever would have easily covered catching up on my payments. Then I got Covid and couldn’t go. Opps. I have continued to overpay my bill to slowwwwllllyyy catch back up. Then a government shutdown appeared imminent. I budget on the basis of paying rent (shop and home rent) with most of my social security payment. Suddenly it appears that there may not be one. With this in mind I held onto what money I could. I have been receiving a threatening message from Carrmax each month but this month I didn’t. I thought I must have caught up enough to have a little leeway. So I held off on the payment against the possibility (likelihood?) of a government shutdown three days before I would have gotten my payment and five days before I had to pay rent. It turns out the email is a “courtesy” and they have towed my van. At this point I can’t even get to the shop.

I need close to $2,000 to both catch up and to pay all the assorted fees assorted with repossession. I have 17 days from today, September 26, before things get worse. I have some money so I’m asking people to help me get $1,800 of that so that I can get my van back. I wish it could be less but I can’t count on needing less. And I had thought I was in the post Covid world. Sigh. The shit, or ripples, continue to spread. If you can help, thanks, If you can’t I understand.
