Help for Heidi

Heidi Dolimpio is a local Hampden Township small business owner, mother and friend. She owns a small hair salon attached to her home, where she is currently raising her 2children who attend Hampden Elementary school.

Heidi is a Baseball Mom who is active in fundraising for her son’s travel baseball team and has been an activist and proponent of smaller classrooms within the school district. She is the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to help a friend in need, including making meals for the homeless and downtrodden.

And I would like to think that together, we can give back to her now.

She has not been able to cut hair since early March. Like many other small business owners, Covid-19 has left her wondering if she will be able to weather this storm in the long run, and ultimately keep her business and her home. She expected to already have unemployment benefits coming in, but recently found out that she had to fill out yet a different form, so her wait will be even longer.

I have never started a gofundme page before and was unsure what financial goal to set– but ultimately thought $2,000 might be a reachable amount that could make a difference in her situation. I am hoping that this would help cover some of her major bills for now.
