Please help if you can.

I am creating this GoFundMe page for two of the most generous people who have spent a lifetime of assisting others and also endured many sacrifices volunteering and training in K9 Search and Rescue.

Darren and Helena are a true love story together in marriage, kindness, respect and devotion. They share their kindness and thoughtfulness with others in so many they have encountered.

Darren has recently been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma which is a type of cancer that is in the esophagus. It started very recently when he had a hard time swallowing. Within a week he could not eat any solid food like hamburgers, chicken or a sandwich. He has been on a soft food-liquid diet since October 27th. Sadly he has lost a lot of weight and needs to get it back. There are times now with chemo and radiation that his esophagus swells shut and he cannot get his medications, ensure or other liquids down.. He is relying solely on a formula that is pumped into his small intestine. This is now their new "grocery" list, liquid nourishment. Anything he can get down is good. He has lost a great deal of weight since the radiation treatments began. He is trying to go to work or work from home as much as possible.

They would never ask anyone for help except when stuck at the hospital and someone to quickly stop and feed the animals, otherwise these are two individuals who could be throwing up from illness, weak, fever and near collapse but also trying to go rescue another.

If anyone could share even a dollar it will help them greatly and go directly to them for areas such as extensive medical bills and needs, ensure, liquid life sustaining supplement insurance won't cover, electric bill, food for K9s, gas to multiple hospital and doctor visits and so many expenses we can't imagine or understand when involved with being kicked down so badly. Darrens had to stay overnight at hospital and barely can stand in strength and from pain at times.
