Juanita's Journey

Donation protected
My name is Lori Syroney. I first met Juanita Morris when I stepped through the doors at Life Ambulance in January of 2000 to begin my career as a paramedic. Shortly after I began there, Juanita and I became 24-hour shift partners and helped open the Jackson station. We quickly became friends. Juanita is the type of person to give you the shirt off of her back (I actually witnessed her doing this once LOL!). She would give you her last dollar just so you could buy a soda to get through the shift. Her kids were my kids and mine were hers. I've heard many of you call her Mama Nita and I am sure many of you have witnessed her selfless acts of kindness just as I have. She is definitely one of a kind.

In March of 2021 Juanita was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. She didn't want anyone to know the seriousness of her situation. She had undergone chemo and radiation to keep the cancer from spreading and had her last treatment in August of 2021. In March 2022 she had to start treatment again. Today, Juanita's daughters were informed that her oncologist was stopping treatment and will begin palliative care. Juanita does not have life insurance and will need help with final expenses. I am asking each of you for help with this. Donate, if you can. Any amount will help! Please share this will all that you know! And last but not least, if you will please keep Juanita, her daughters, her grandchildren, and her family in your prayers. Thank you!
