Support Kelsey's Fight Against MS

Hi, my name is Kelsey. On Saturday, April 27th, I woke up and I couldn't see.

I went to urgent care and began what would be a two week process of finding out I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis). I endured eye exams, MRIs and an excruciating spinal tap. I have to wear an eye patch due to a 6th nerve palsy, in which the MS has damaged a cranial nerve to my left eye.

I spent this past week on massive steroid infusions to suppress my immune system and help with the inflammation that my body is currently holding. I am very sick and unable to do very much.

I am starting this fundraiser as I was laid off in February from the job I held for 6 years. I was recruited to begin a new job the week that my MS flared. Unfortunately, I had to stop working (temporarily). I have now been out of work for nearly 3 months and with a new chronic and serious medical condition. I had an emergency fund saved for something like the layoff, but had no funds in place for a second emergency so close to a termination.

I am a single mom to a 7 year old. I need to cover my expenses for the foreseeable future.
