Anything helps- rare toxin poisoning.

Hi, my name is Amber, I am sister to Chris and sister in-law to Will. I am also known as Auntie to Daisy, Luna, Romy and Ollie.

Saturday evening Will was cleaning out his saltwater aquarium when suddenly he and Chris started feeling ill. Then they noticed that 2 of the 4 dogs were also showing severe symptoms of vomiting and shaking, lethargy. They got themselves and all 4 dogs into the car and started driving to the 24 hr emergency Vet in Mississauga because that was the only vet they could find able to take in 4 dogs at once.

Once arrived, the Vet clinic called 911 and Chris was taken to the hospital in an ambulance with same symptoms as dogs (vomiting, coughing, chest pain, shaking) Will wasnt quite at that point so he drove behind the ambulance, and when he got into the hospital was also admitted- it turns out that the coral they were cleaning had Palytoxin and when cleaned it released into the air- both my brother and their 4 dogs were poisoned by this Extremely rare and life threatening Toxin.

Just today they were released from hospital with hesitation from hospital staff as they don't know a lot about this toxin and the progression or long-term effects. They are currently spending the remainder of the week staying with my mom while the house is decontaminated by a local biohazard decon company. The dogs were all released Monday by Evening and had diagnoses of Pulmonary Edema- Basically the last few days for both my brothers and their dogs have been tests after test and just managing symptoms as they come by the doctors and Veterinarians. This scary last few days has caused a lot of unexpected financial burdens totaling close to $13,000.

I am reaching out to family and friends and asking for help as I know they never would themselves and I know that they need it.
