Trevor's Medical Fund

Trevor Lynch is our sons name. He is 16 yrs. old and a Junior in High School. We had just bought him a truck to drive. He was leaving the house at 5:30 am. five days a week, going to the High School where he worked out morning and evening getting ready for the 2016 baseball season. He is a wonderful Christian young man who attends church regularly and is loved by everyone. On Oct. 3, 2015, he was hunting from a tree stand and fell 15 ft. landing on his neck. As a result, he broke C4 and C5 vertebrates. He suffered a severe Spinal Cord injury which has left him paralyzed from the neck down. He had just started to gain some independence for himself and now it is all gone. I can't even imagine how he must have felt. He spent 41 days at CAMC Hospital in Charleston, WV., where he left a great testimony of his faith to those who cared for him. He touched a lot of lives while he was there. He even prayed with the nurses and Drs. before his neck surgery, leaving not a dry eye in the room. After the surgery, he developed pneumonia, collapsed lungs and breathing issues. We just about lost him 3 times. With God's help and lots of praying, he improved and we moved him to The Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV., for a week. My husband and I prayed daily about where to take him for rehabilitation. We finally decided to take him to a hospital in Atlanta, Georgia that specializes in Spinal Cord injuries in children. It is called The Shepherd Center. There is no doubt , God led us in the right direction. I have always said, I don't have to have the best materially, but I have to have the best when it comes to my children. It is a top notch facility. People from all over the world come here. Trevor has been at The Shepherd Center 7 days and is already showing signs of improvement. We are middle class working people, but we will need funding for improvements done on our home, equipment for his care, possibly a handicapped van and medical expenses. All donations would be greatly appreciated for his care.
