Help with Life’s Expenses
Donation protected
I’m embarrassed to be in this position, but here I am. This year has been rough for many people, not just myself. Of course, I can only tell you my story and how my family has been affected by the times. I’m a single mom is struggling to carry the weight of life right now. I worked before the start of all this. There was never a time that I haven’t had a job. Always needed to know where my next check was coming from, and I could only know that for sure if I worked for it. Once the pandemic started, I was laid off and unable to find employment elsewhere. I know most people have been able to claim unemployment, however I have not been able to because of what I assume is a small hiccup. Without giving out too much personal information, whenever I try to do my weekly claim for unemployment, I get a notification saying that its “not payable at this time.” I’ve reached out to unemployment and am waiting to hear back via mail. Thanks to the help of family and friends, I have been able to get by so far but I only expected my family to be able to support for so long. The way things are looking now, I’m not sure if we will get to some sort of normalcy soon where I can find work without putting my health and the health of those around me at risk. So I am asking for your help with groceries (we REALLY need food), rent, and other bills. I am just trying to stay afloat for the next few months with everything being so up in the air. I am months behind on rent and at risk of being evicted at the start of the New Year. Any amount is appreciated, I cannot express how grateful I am for any and all donations. I am also trying to stay safe and Covid free. In my search for “work from home” positions as well as others, I’ve found that most of them require you to have your own computer which I don’t have but intend to get so I can be home with my son during virtual school. But first, I need some breathing room with the big stuff (rent/utilities). I’ll update the goal as needed as well as consistent updates on my position during these times and my job searching. The goal amount listed here is for two months' rent (Nov. and Dec./$1300 each), $200 for PSEG, and $200 for groceries. God willing, if we reach the goal amount, I will update it to reflect what the other expenses I need assistance with. I am hoping to collect the entire current goal amount of $3000 by the end of December, so I can get this looming eviction off my back. If Cash App is an easier donation method, my cash tag is $payallie1, either method is perfectly fine. A great holiday gift would just be not to get put out in all this. Please know how thankful I am for your consideration! Please share with others who may want to donate.
Also, please check updates to see what's new and how I am currently doing since starting this campaign. I post updates regularly.
