200 Miles In May For The Civet Project
This May I’m riding 200 miles on my exercise bike to raise awareness (and hopefully lots of love and donations!) for The Civet Project Foundation — a charity raising awareness and improving the lives of a group of animals who are often overlooked.
Viverridae creatures are full of charm, mystery, and ecological importance. But sadly, they’re often overlooked, exploited, or kept in poor conditions due to things like civet coffee production and wildlife trade. The Civet Project team is working tirelessly to change that.
They're a charity with a passionate mission:
- To protect and conserve civets through in-situ and ex-situ efforts
- To conduct research that drives better conservation outcomes
- To raise awareness through education and community outreach
- And to advocate against unethical practices like the caging of civets for coffee
I wanted to do something meaningful, so I’m challenging myself to ride 200 miles in May in honour of World Binturong Day, and to help a charity which I admire and appreciate so much, and the fantastic work they do.
Thank you so much for reading, and thank you in advance for any donations.
