Val needs our help!

Hey there, my name is Nancy and I am raising money for our Val.

Val was recently diagnosed with cancer that was quickly localized and removed. Val fought this battle virtually in silence. Tho currently cancer-free, Val will need frequent checks and testing and monitoring as the cancer could reappear.

Val is a single Mom of a kid graduating high school with eyes on college. Val is a small business owner who creates amazing hats and sells at markets nationwide. It’s a lot of work.

We are fundraising to offset costs of testing not covered by Val’s state insurance. As a small business owner, Val doesn’t have any corporate backing or access to health benefits that many of us may have through our works.

We are fundraising to support the cost of potential college tuition, books, and housing. Val’s kiddo will attend a college out of state. Even the least expensive college can be so expensive to a parent with no coparent (he passed suddenly a few years ago).

Like every cancer, this cancer requires specialists and regular testing. Val’s amazing team is in Denver. They have a clear trajectory to keep our girl cancer-free! The travel back and forth adds on to the costs.

I hope to alleviate some of the anxiety and stress that all of these combined factors have undoubtedly caused and will continue to cause.

Val’s most recent testing shows her heart is behaving irregularly. The stress of all of these layers of life is taking a very real toll on our friend. Heart tests are inconclusive for the time being, but something is happening that is out of the ordinary.

Val will potentially be unable to sell her fabulous hats as regularly as she has been due to doctor visits. Hiring more crew members to sell at events is another expense.
