Valencia She's Beautiful

Donations will be received by her husband Anthony. Val passed early Tuesday morning with Anthony by her side 8/30/2022.

Valencia Lyles-Saunders, what a smile. It radiates what is in her soul. Valencia is a caring, loving, kind mother, wife, sister, aunt, and a amazing friend. If you did not know, Val is hysterical. She can break out into different voices making everyone scream with laughter. One of the most admirable qualities is her voice. She can SANG! She is a talented songwriter and performer and was part of the Abyssinian Baptist Church Chancel Choir. Valencia attended Howard University and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota (ΣΑΙ) a women's music fraternity.

Valencia had been fighting Cancer since 2016. She had been brave and optimistic for years. Unfortunately, the cancer has won and she has transitioned. We continue to pray the family.

Valencia and her cherished husband Anthony were married at Abyssinian Baptist Church in 1995. Together they created the love of her life, their daughter Hazien. Both Anthony and Hazien have been by her side during her fight. Anthony's undaunted commitment is what he promised in his vows. Pure love.

Her friends are asking for help in assisting Anthony and Hazien with the tremendous medical and bereavement costs. Anthony stopped working to be by Val’s side. The unimaginable choice to work or be by Val’s side has caused a financial hardship none of us could take on easily. Please help them reduce the overwhelming financial stress as they focus on laying Valencia to rest. Let's surround Anthony and Hazien with love and support.
