Landens spinal cord injury

Hello! My name is Gena Gibson.

Last night (December 14th) my 17 year old nephew Landen Gibson was in a very bad car accident and by the grace of God he is still with us. However, he has suffered a serious life threatening spinal cord injury and is currently undergoing a 6-8 hour surgery. We have been told by the Neurosurgical Team that the next 2-3 weeks are very critical for Landen and that we need to take it one day at a time, but that once he is released from the Hospital, he will be transferred to a Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Facility, where he will be for an unknown amount of time. This will leave my sister Tina out of work for months or longer, depending on the prognosis of his injury. She is a single mother and the only provider for Landen and his 2 younger brothers. We are reaching out to ask for help in her time of need. She will need to cover the cost of rent, food, medical bills, etc., while she is not working and she needs to find a new home that is wheelchair accessible as she currently lives in a second-floor apartment.
