Valentina Quinn, our dear friend, is going through an incredibly challenging time, and we have an opportunity to make a profound difference in her life.
In 2015, Valentina followed her passion for dogs and started a dog-sitting business. She found joy in taking dogs on mountain hikes alongside her own three dogs. Unfortunately, a neighbor falsely accused her of running a dog "kennel," resulting in a court battle that temporarily shut down her business. Although she eventually won, many clients had already moved on.
To complicate matters further, Valentina selflessly trapped and rescued four abandoned kittens, but their presence prevented her from continuing the dog-sitting business. With limited space in her small house, she had to prioritize their safety. And with Valentina's fading memory, she found it challenging to find stable employment, leaving her struggling to make ends meet.
Today, Valentina needs our urgent support.
Surrounding her home are many dead trees threatening to fall, trees that require professional removal, a cost she cannot afford. Many trees have already fallen on the fence surrounding her home which protected her dogs and others from escaping.
Her aging dogs are in need of costly veterinary care, and she is left with a malfunctioning stove that can’t be repaired, relying on a simple hotplate for cooking.
Despite receiving some state aid, Valentina faces mounting challenges. An old outside heating oil tank has become an environmental hazard to her property, preventing oil deliveries unless she pays over $10,000 for its removal, cleanup, and replacement.
The hardest part is that she has no support system—no family or friends to turn to. After breaking her foot, she’s having difficulty tackling even some simple tasks around the house while struggling with her fading memory and often debilitating emotional struggles, as well as a recent diagnosis of ADHD.
Valentina's animal companions are her source of solace, giving her a reason to carry on, at times her only reason. Ensuring their well-being would alleviate her immense worries.
She is doing everything she can to generate income, including selling household items and working on her memoir. However, with her current stress and fading memory, she’s finding it difficult to concentrate on writing or much of anything anymore which results in prolonging her financial hardship.
Her deteriorating health makes it challenging to find the right specialists who accept her insurance, especially with her immense need for dental care, where her options are limited, especially after being told the cost would be over $5000. And now with her property taxes due soon, she could lose her house if not paid.
Let's come together to prevent Valentina from drowning in despair. Your contribution will make a significant impact on her life, providing the support she desperately needs. These days she can’t even talk to anyone without weeping due to being so alone in such a confusing and terrifying time in her life.
Today, we launch this campaign to help a genuinely kind-hearted person facing overwhelming circumstances. Please donate what you can to create a lasting change for Valentina. Rest assured she would do the same for any one of us.
Your generosity and compassion are greatly appreciated. Thank you for making a difference in Valentina's life.
