Help Me Play for Seattle Riot!
Donation protected
This will not be possible without the help from you to help support me with finances. Please if you are able and willing, donate to help make this life long dream and experience possible for me and Riot 2019! I am asking for $5,000 to help pay for my flights, playing expenses on Riot and living costs for Seattle.
Ever since I started playing Ultimate, one of my favorite things was when my coach would take us to the town's library to see the matches or the highlight plays of the USA Nationals and we were so amazed and so excited of someday being able to live the experience of playing the USA Nationals.
Time passed and we started to grow, always with the support of my family, Moore and Aleja, the Inder and all of those people that have added up to help us make our dreams come true.
In 2017-2018 Manu got the opportunity of playing the Nationals with Molly Brown. This year I am having my opportunity of playing against them with the actual world champions, which makes it more exciting. I am so thankful with Kelly, Moore, Andy, Q, coaches and the leadership of Riot for giving me the opportunity of playing with such an amazing team in Riot.
All this past days I have been talking a lot with Manu of how to live away from home. She always tells me that it is very different than Colombia, that I have to learn how to cook because my mom and dad are not going to be there doing it for me, but that every second away from home will be worth it. I am feeling nervous for being such a long time without my sister's company, but at the same time I'm feeling so incredible of being a part of such a strong and united team as Riot is.
Playing at TEP with Riot and against Riot I got to see that in the team everything is about working together to get the objective. Despite being just a few of them there, they proved that they were at the highest competitive level and the best spirit of the game and that is one of the things that I want for people to notice of Riot 2019 and in the years following.
Being like that, every time that I think about playing with Riot this season I feel some big emotion. I feel anxious about all the way that I have left to go through in this time away from home and happy about being able to do something to make my dream come true. I can't wait to make new friends, to learn how to cook, learn English and what I always wanted to do, win the USA Nationals with Riot and give the best of me to make my wish come to reality.
