Valerie Carlson's medical expenses

Hi there,

My name is Julie, and I've known Valerie for over 20 years, as all four of my dogs have stayed at "Valerie's Pet Service", a dog daycare and boarding facility in Chicago that Valerie has run for over 30 years. As some of you may know, Valerie was diagnosed and treated for stomach cancer 4 years ago. In November 2022, she learned her cancer had returned, and immediately started treatment to manage her illness. Cancer treatment is extremely expensive, and as a woman owning her own business, healthcare insurance prices are ridiculously high on top of it! Valerie has maintained her business on Wellington Avenue through Covid business shutdowns, through her initial diagnosis and treatment, and now, through her ongoing weekly chemotherapy treatments, medical tests and doctor's visits.

Valerie now desperately needs our help, and the help of Chicago's animal loving community. She thankfully has some assistance with her business, but she needs our additional support at this time, when she needs us most! Don't forget about her business- bring your dogs for a daily play date or extended visit! Most importantly are her ongoing medical bills that are piling up from her weekly chemotherapy treatments.
