Valerie Joy Ward's Memorial Fund
Donation protected
I’ve been told that when the heart is full, the eyes overflow. We've seen the truth in that statement as our family experienced the sudden passing of my sister, Valerie.
Joy was her middle name, and she lived by that every day she was on this earth. She touched so many and asked for so little. She was my friend and didn’t stop there; Valerie would accept everyone around her as family just for a moment to talk, share, and help anyway she could. Her passion was with the upholstery of furniture as she worked a booth at Five Forks Antique Mall in Liburn, Georgia, and did so for almost half her life. I look back now and believe she surrounded herself with her work just to provide a seat for someone to pull up and have them tell their story to her.
On January 25th Valerie’s pain was diagnosed as stage four cancer. Less than a month later, on the 19th of February, her soul said it was time to live in heaven and let her body go. She passed peacefully around those she loved. While I am sad she is gone, I take comfort she is no longer in the pain she hid so well.
In her memory, our family would like a viewing to give family and friends a chance to say goodbye and then put Valerie to rest. We were simply not prepared for the cost that comes with a funeral service. Even as we arrange a simple burial, the expense is outside our combined family budget. I am asking for any donation you could provide to raise funds toward the service she deserves. We thank you.
