Valerie King Memorial After Tragic Loss

Donation protected
We are still devastated and unable to process the reality of losing such a bright, beautiful young woman, Valerie King, only 37 yrs young who passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on March 6,2021, while at home with her children. There are no words to describe the pain of my precious friend Bonnie Harmon having to bury her only daughter, nor watching 3 young boys weep uncontrollably over the tragic loss of their Mom, a single parent and undoubtedly the rock in their world. All who knew Valerie loved her infectious joy, her kind heart, and loving spirit. Her laughter could fill a room! She had impressive talent as an accomplished hairstylist, make-up artist, not to mention her cooking skills were a favorite for everyone! Valerie never met a stranger and her huge giving heart that led her to help family, friends, and even strangers when she could. She was an active and passionate supporter for equal rights organizations, the Lupus community, and others. But, anyone asking Valerie, her greatest passion and accomplishment, she’d say, “Being a Mom”, her greatest love, “My 3 boys” Valerie had been planning a vacation for the boys this summer to the Smokey Mountains, they hadn’t had one in years and frequently talked about how excited they were about it. Because of the sudden tragedy of Valerie’s passing, her mother Bonnie, has been designated to assume complete care of her grandchildren. No one could be prepared for such a devastating event, nor be prepared to immediately start providing for the care and needs of 3 young boys who have experienced this unimaginable loss. One thing Bonnie knows, is Valerie was planning a trip for her sons and has an ache in her heart to fulfill her daughter’s wishes complete this trip for the boys in memory of their Mom. With permission, this fundraiser is being created for Bonnie and the children because we know she will need financial help. There is a lot needed in transitioning these 3 children to their grandmother’s home and care and still plan the trip in Valerie’s memory. Bonnie is also seeking counseling for her grandsons to cope with the trauma of witnessing this tragedy in their home. We’d also like to ask not only for donations, but to please send prayers, encouragement, and support for the entire family. Anything you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated with all donations going directly to Bonnie for support of the children. Bless you and Thank You in advance for your giving, support, and prayers.
