On January 6, 2023 my sister Valerie was diagnosed with a Malignant (cancerous) Paraganglioma (carotid body tumor/or Neuro endocrine tumor) attached to her carotid artery. This is a very rare tumor that affects only 2 out of every 1 million people, with only 15% of those cases being malignant. As a result of this diagnosis, my sister now requires a high risk surgery scheduled for May 11th at Stanford University.

Anyone who knows Val knows she is the type of person to give you the shirt off of her back, but also the last to ask for any kind of help. Understandably, with an operation like this, things can get costly. I am creating this GoFundMe to help with the expenses associated, as she will be out of work for 6 weeks barring no complications.
