Our dear friend Valerie Novarro is courageously battling breast cancer. We are joining forces to help her in her time of need!
Lifelong St Pete resident and owner of Nails By Valerie for 29 years, has always been an inspiring, self-motivated, independent girl that is known for her commitment to her clients of her small business, her love for her family & friends and her benevolence of always giving back. Now she needs OUR help!
Having recently been diagnosed with breast cancer that has metastasized to her lymph nodes, Valerie is now being faced with chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, then radiation and a minimum of four more surgeries over the next year and a half.
In order to meet the demands of this unfortunate disease Valerie is being forced to reduce her regular 50 hour work week down to 30 hours.
When she learned what she is coming up against, she immediately went into action in true Val style saying "I've got this!" and began researching doctors, finding clinical trials where she could possibly make this diagnosis count and confirming coverage with her insurance carrier only to be informed that her insurance will no longer be offering major medical coverage after the end of this year. Now not only does she have the concerns of meeting her daily living expenses and keeping her small business going but she also has to concern herself with finding another major medical policy with a reasonable deductible during this critical time.
