Valmond Family

Wolf Ruben Valmond, a loving son, husband, father, and friend passed away unexpectedly. Wolf could be described as someone who always had a smile on his face, which was by far contagious, while at the same time touching the lives of everyone he met. Wolf was a loving family man that would give you the shirt off his back, willing to do anything for his family and friends.
Wolf began his Law Enforcement career at the Norfolk Sheriff's Office in July 2011. Wolf served at the Norfolk Sheriff's for 4 years where he spent time in the courts, jail, and SERT (Sheriffs Emergency Response Team). Wolf decided to pursue his passion and later joined the Norfolk Police Department in January 2015. Wolf was assigned to the First Patrol Division with his latest assignment being the Community Resource Officer for Tidewater Gardens in the Public Housing Division. After 4.5 years of service Wolf was offered the rare opportunity to advance his career by joining the United States Customs Border and Patrol. Wolf would be serving his community in one of the highest tiers of Law Enforcement and left for training in November 2019.
While attending the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia, Wolf and other classmates earned time off after a rigorous week of training. As the class was enjoying an evening, Wolf and his classmates were suddenly confronted by a group of criminals. Wolf took it upon himself to ensure the safety of his classmates and people present by actively attempting to diffuse the situation. While overseeing the safety of his classmates, Wolf was confronted by assailants. Wolf selflessly and bravely stood toe to toe with evil. Wolf directed his classmates and public to safety. He paid the ultimate sacrifice while ensuring the safety of others above oneself.
Wolf always displayed love and adoration to his family. He is survived by wife of 10 years Latoya Valmond and 8 year old daughter Genesis, as well as multiple extended family members. To help alleviate some stress of this tragic and sudden loss, this Go-Fund page is being set up.
Thank you to all who have taken the time to read.
