Van needed, and now getting my dogs vaccinations

Donation protected
When you are homeless and have absolutely no where to go and also have your little dogs that you don't want to part with, it helps if you have a vehicle when the county police or some other circumstance causes you to have to clear away from where you pitched a tent.

I had been having severe pain in my spine and knees for the several years that I'd been homeless. Was finally able to get social security disability to schedule and pay for some ex-rays this August. They've discovered I have a degenerative disc disease in my back and osteo arthritis in my knees and previous to that an MRI revealed a cyst growing in my right knee. That cyst has been there since 2016 and has grown larger and has gotten to a size that makes it difficult to bend my leg or walk without pain constantly. But social security has denied me disability because they say although my condition hinders my ability to walk, it isn't severe enough to prevent me from finding gainful employment. They refuse to follow up with MRI scans or help me get tested for rheumatoid arthritis which I'm pretty sure I also have. I'm currently fighting once again to get approved for medicaid but in Florida they have very strict parameters on who they give it to and I've lost several times in the past when trying to apply. They want you to have been treated for your conditions for quite a while with no signs of improvement before they even consider it. Trouble is, without health insurance, I cannot get treated. So I'm stuck in a catch. But even if I could, my conditions are degenerative. Not curable. You can slow it down and alleviate some of the effects but at the moment I'm not even able to do that. And ibuprofen isn't working.

It is a severe safety issue that I can't walk like a normal person nor carry what my dogs and I need to survive. So I ask you to think about a woman who is dear in your life and what you'd want for her if she was in my circumstances and couldn't be safely housed because funding or programs don't exist in her area. Wouldn't you at least hope she had a car or van she could lock herself in to be safe from people, weather, or other situations that could cause her harm, and a way to get to a grocery store, doctors appointments or agencies that could help her if you couldn't provide assistance for her survival? If so please help me.

I set the goal for this a tad low, I larger goal would insure a more reliable mode of transportation but I think it should be a good start. The money from this fund raiser will go solely toward the vehicle, preferably a van, which are considerably more expensive and harder to find at a reasonable cost than just a car, but I will hunt for whatever is more affordable as/when the funds arrive and when this goal is met.

I have in current activity, one other fund raiser that was invaluable at keeping us alive since October 2021, if you want to take a look through all my updates and such and verify my status. It is: https://Gofund.me/1435fc94 PLEASE NOTE that the app takes a service fee and the bank associated with the account also has a processing fee, so though it looks like I got over $3000 and should have enough for some type of wheels, this money has already largely been spent. It was a survival fund (which I still very much need). But even if you calculate without considering the imposed fees. $3295 ÷ the 11 months that go fund me was bringing in the donations, = $299.54 per month. That's an average of $9.98 per day. Which I used as frugally and responsibly as I was able given the situations at the time. And I will do so with whatever you see in your heart to help out with now for this need.

My prior fundraiser took nearly seven months to gain any momentum. Partly because I'm an introvert with a poor quality damaged phone with no ability to edit videos and make them cool and noteworthy and possibly because people wanted to be following, observing first hand as best they can through social media, that this is a legitimate cause. It is. Please don't delay. Please please please do whatever you can to share this post on your social media so we can get a van in far less than several months. Winter is coming. Weather in Florida is milder than in other regions but it still packs a hit to little Chihuahuas and people who have to be out in it constantly.

I'm not seeking some grandiose rig with solar electric, running water, all the fine glamping gear known to the human race. Just a simple cargo van or anything large enough to lay a mattress in and have room for some boxes of food, clothing, blankets and a couple of dog cages. Something that locks securely and won't have parts falling off as we're on the road.

I don't even like to drive. Have been avoiding it most of my whole life. It's terrifying. But overcoming that aversion is the only way I can see a chance at having a better future.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and assistance. I will try to keep up with thank you notes and replies but be patient. I have no where to charge my phone and soon will be renting a U-Haul truck to relocate myself before I get arrested for still being camped where I was. I have about $800 saved to do that with from my first fundraiser. I just haven't found some place suitable to go. Somewhere that isn't too congested and city like since I'm not an experienced driver and once I have to return the rental I will be on foot and in danger from strangers; But also not so rural that resources, bus routes, agencies that feed or give toiletries to the homeless don't exist, etc. Can't get a room anywhere currently either because I'm unemployed with no credit score, no income, prices everywhere are unreachable for me, and I want my fur babies. Been looking for a work for stay arrangement but nothing has turned up yet. With a vehicle I could potentially canvass my surroundings better, find and get to something when it does.
