On the morning of Wednesday, May 25, at about 2:45 am, the fire alarm system at the church detected smoke in the area of the Sanctuary.

When church staff arrived, the fire department was already there fighting the fire, which reached three alarm status.  The fire was extinguished by late morning.



An investigation determined that the fire was caused by arson.  Our church was the first of three arson fires at churches within a few days of each other in Clark County, Washington.

Damage to the church is extensive, and includes structural damage, smoke, water and asbestos contamination.

Funds raised will be used to cover the replacement cost of items that are not covered by insurance.
