Jordan Vandalism Costs Our Community

It takes a Village... Be The Difference, Please
The volunteers of The Village of Hope spent this past week distributing 240 thanksgiving hampers (which include a turkey), as part of our program of “bringing families back to the table”. Our volunteers were so motivated and positive afterwards, about bringing relief and hope while attending to delivering food to families in our community. That hope was crushed with the display of vandalism that had occurred overnight at the Village of Hope community centre. Several exterior brick walls had been thoughtlessly vandalized with offensive graffiti - a second level wall 40 feet in length, and 2 lower walls each of 20 feet in length, all vandalized.
We are now faced with a cleanup bill of over 5000 dollars. The Village of Hope is a community-based volunteer charity. Through fundraising and donation we sustain our activities of assisting all those in the community who find themselves in need. Funds that would have alleviated the economic duress experienced by some in our community, (registered clients include more than 240 families, 350 children and 135 seniors) will now be diverted to this cleaning effort. This is a devastating blow, so many volunteers invest their time in fundraising, 1 dollar at a time, and now to think that money would be needlessly diverted from its intended benefit is demoralizing to say the least. We have come to GoFundMe with a plea for donations to undo the damage of this thoughtless crime of vandalism, and allow us to continue the good work of The Village of Hope.
