Vanessa X. Greene, age 48, beloved wife of Kenneth P. Greene, devoted mother of Keegan Greene, of Fairfield, passed away the morning of Saturday, September 25, 2021 after a two-year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Anyone who knew Vanessa knows she would do anything for her beloved Keegan. “Keegs” lit up her world and awed her daily. Vanessa’s positive attitude throughout her illness was unceasing as she was determined to be there for her boy despite her own discomfort. Keegan’s sweet passions, from physics and weather to golf and Christmas, brought her unending joy.
Vanessa was a supportive and loving friend, and an advocate for what she believed. Vanessa was the kind of girl you wanted to have in your corner. Those lucky enough to befriend her miss her deeply, and feel grateful for her strength and lively presence in our lives. She cherished family near and far, a devoted daughter, sister and aunt.
Vanessa’s life with Ken was a true love story. She was crazy about him and he brought her magic and faith that never ceased. Now a single Dad, Ken is dedicating himself to give Keegan the attention, opportunities and support Vanessa dreamed for him.
