Vanessa and Zeus need life-saving treatment

Donation protected
11/2/24: Vanessa has asked an attorney ti represent her in an effort to achieve some justice and it will cost $750 for a consult. If you feel so inclined, please donate and/or share to help Vanessa and Zeus because both of them need treatment to hopefully regain health Thanks ;)

Update on 7/8/24: Vanessa is in the hospital with Zeus by her side. It’s been years of homelessness with little respite. Living in her car during AZ heat while sick has been unbearable. Please help if you can so that perhaps she can get a motel room for a night or two…or more ;) Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Urgent: Vanessa has been unable to get her prescribed infusions since her medical team refuses to release her to a vehicle post-infusions. Until she obtains safe housing, Vanessa could really use a hotel room from time to time to continue her medical treatments In addition, the AZ temperature is rising and Zeus could overheat in the car. Please help, if you can…or forward, if you can’t. Thank you!

Hi there! My name is Viv and I’m here to write about my dear cousin, Vanessa. I’m hoping to help her in any way we can and know that other loved ones, friends, and strangers will likely want to help, too.

This is even more deeply personal for me because Vanessa was one of my dad’s favorite nieces. He passed away on January 20th and I feel strongly that if he had been of sound mind and body, he would have bought her an Airstream last year. If you’d like to donate towards this important cause, I’d be grateful, especially in lieu of flowers and such.

I know my cousin as an active nature enthusiast and dog lover. She grew up in Maine where she participated in many snow and water activities. But she’s suffered health challenges as a result of serious mold exposure and now she and her dog have never to live. I find this incredibly heartbreaking. I thought homelessness happened mostly to peeps without family members :/

Vanessa has a well known gene type/disability that cannot be in mold. She wants to take the recommended advice to try to obtain safe housing and be outside in the climate of Arizona to greatly reduce the need for continued blood support. Her hematologist and oncologist sound optimistic about metal housing and time in nature resulting in less bleeding risk and natural recovery over time. She had another surgery and it is so sad that her post-op recovery was in her car.

In July 2021, Vanessa’s condo flooded from the roof. Due to lack of response from the condo association about the roof as well as insurance bureaucracy, she was unable to leave the situation or get the roof fixed so the water damage continued for months. In the meantime, Vanessa has become dangerously ill as a multi system attack happens to her body.

Vanessa’s father hired an industrial hygienist who conducted air tests, confirming that the levels of toxicgenic structural molds in the condo were extreme and dangerous for any human and the mold won’t stop until the water is stopped and mold is properly remediated.

Vanessa, under an order to evacuate and leave everything except her dog behind, finally left the condo. She is now displaced with irreversible bodily damages. Both immunologist and medical toxicologists have told her to never re-enter the condo again even if they claim to fix it. The mycotoxins from the mold have damaged her body.

Her pulmonologist explains this as an agent orange effect where the toxins found have damaged her lungs and will likely remain in her body for years.

Vanessa is also suffering from further damages as her medical investigation continues. She now has to self-isolate and control her environment which means finding safe housing that has not had any type of water damage but since drywall is a great danger, we are trying to get Vanessa into a metal or otherwise appropriate home.

Thank you for caring and for helping spread the word about mold exposure. Can you please donate and share this campaign so that Vanessa can heal? Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

With love and gratitude,
Viv
