Vanessa's Kick Breast Cancer Fundraiser

My sister, Vanessa, was very recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of appointments, emotions, learning, and preparing for what's to come very quickly for her to have the best chance to beat this. While we don't even know the stage yet, we know it's already a grade 3 tumor.

 

She is rushing to complete fertility preservation as she may have to have a double mastectomy and/or start chemotherapy as early as next week. Everything is urgently happening so fast.

 

Vanessa is a unique, vibrant light in this world. At 31, she's just really finding herself and coming into her own. I'm amazed every day at the person she is becoming. I know Vanessa will get through this and come out a stronger woman. But we need your help.

 

No one deserves cancer. No one deserves to lose their home and go bankrupt paying for medical care to fight cancer either, but as we live in the USA, it's quite clearly a possibility without asking for help. Even though she has short-term disability through work, that's not enough to cover all the expenses.  And she only needs to be worried about fighting cancer right now.

 

Let me be clear; she does not want to ask for help; no one does. So I am asking for her. Please look into your hearts and donate what you can to help my sister get through this horrible sudden life event. I've doubled the goal because the weeks of chemo have been doubled.
