Fundraising for Clean Water Systems
Donation protected
Hi lovely humans! So I am doing my first ever go fund me campaign, which I started about 5 weeks ago, and I only have 6 days left!!! I have already raised close to a 1000.00 and I am just needing to raise an additional 1000.00!! So that works out to about 20 peeps to donate 50.00!
WHY?? you ask... well because I am raising money on behalf of this amazing non-profit called the The LAtitude Project, started byt two intrepid sisters from BC, who have worked with unreal passion and dedication in rural communities in Central America, to provide infrastructure to them, and relief, where it was needed. The unique aspect of this organization, that calls to me personally is that these two young women saw that there was something that needed to be remedied within the culture of charity, that the bloated massive organizations of the past, were not distributing funds appropriately, and thus not helping effectively. So they created a hands on business model, where every dollar raised goes to the budget needs of each project, and they work directly with local communities- identifying what they need and when!! They provide jobs for local residents after the project is completed and ensure that communities are equipped with the supplies, education, and resources they need to make sure that the releif efforts are sustained long after the initial project has been executed.
I am looking to raise this thousand dollars on their behalf so that I can accompany them with my volunteer service on their next project in San Juan Del sur which is helping to build water filtration systems in residneces that have been affected by Hurricane Nate.
Please check out www.thelatitudeproject.com and get a feel for the epic work these ladies from BC are doing, and any support you can give to help me lend my time and sweat and muscles would be greatly appreciated!!!
