Wild Horse Warriors for Sand Wash Basin needs your help to raise funds to help save the lives of our wild horses and the motorists on highway 318. Every year we lose at least one wild horse to a vehicle / wild horse accident. Some years we lose several. After several years of asking Colorado Department of Transportation to install a fence, they have finally agreed to let Wild Horse Warriors install a fence. The fence will cost roughly $100,000, for 8 miles. If there are any remaining funds left after the installation of the fence they will be used for other fence, water or safety of the wild horses of Sand Wash Basin.
