Nursing International Placement

Hi, my name is Chloe! I am currently a second year student nurse raising money to volunteer to practice as a student nurse in Fiji aiming to improve mental health and providing education regarding mental health and diabetes management.

I will be travelling as part of the university, however, with flights and money for the Think Pacific project I am looking at around £4500 to afford this opportunity.

I will be living with and working alongside Fijian families for 4 weeks in November 2024 and will be working with the Think Pacific charity to raise awareness, provide education and provide support to the families and individual living in Fiji. Mental health is an unspoken about issue affecting many in Fiji with one individual committing suicide every 36 hours due to there struggles (Think Pacific).

I am raising this money to fund this project and to be able to work to improve mental health whilst gaining a global understanding of mental health.
