Abby's Missionary Internship to Vanuatu

                   From Abby: Hello friends and family. I have the amazing opportunity to spend 5 months in Vanuatu serving with my aunt and uncle, Aaron and Jamie Dieringer, missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators.  I will be living with them on Mota Lava, a remote island in the country of Vanuatu, located in the South Pacific.  I will be  a nanny to their three girls, helping to care for them and to help homeschool them. I will also be available to help out at the village school and in the community.  In January I will help with childcare for missionaries that will be held in the capital city of Port Vila, Vanuatu.
                  I am looking forward to learning some of the local island language, seeing firsthand what daily missionary life looks like, observing the process of Bible translation and the Motlap culture, cooking with local food and making new friends in this fascinating place. I love traveling and serving God’s people in different cultures.  After lots of prayer, I believe this is what  God wants me to do before I start my college education. I know that stepping out of my comfort zone, learning a new culture, having limited access to food, shopping, cell service and WiFi will be a challenge, so I appreciate your prayers as I go in faith and grace to what I believe God has set before me. I know I will come back changed and pray that I can be a blessing to the missionaries and the people of Vanuatu.
