Varinia and her family

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, heavy rain fell for 12 hours, flooding part of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. Accumulating 25.91 inches of rain, never before recorded in the history of this area.
During the night of 4/12 Varinia and her family watched the weather reports on the news, hoping that conditions would improve. There came a time when the water began to enter her home, but it was too late to leave. They had to wait until dawn to be rescued by the team of volunteers sent to the sector. Varinia, her 79-year-old mother, and her daughter made it out safely, not realizing that they had lost much of their home, personal belongings, and car.
When they were allowed to return 2 days later, when the water had already gone down, they were able to assess the damage caused by the torrential rains.

At this time, Varinia and her family need all of our support to help them get through this devastating tragedy, which took away their home and basic belongings.
Varinia bought her house only 4 years ago, and now she has to rebuild it in order to continue her life and that of her family.

Please consider making a donation to help this wonderful family get ahead again.

As a close friend of Varinia and her family, I am committed to helping them. All the money raised will go directly to Varinia to pay for the necessary expenses to rebuild her house that are not covered by insurance such as clothing, appliances, furniture, etc. If money is not an option, please contact Varinia to see how you can help.

Gracias/Thank you,

Nelly
