Varnell Family - Anchorage Earthquake

Donation protected
The Varnell Family suffered a significant loss in the recent earthquake. Their home is currently unliveable. During the earthquake the sewer lines broke, the crawl space filled with water and the entire house/garage sunk. The main and second floor of the home are very unlevel (It actually makes me feel a bit nauseous to even walk through the house).

The structural engineer that came out estimated a loss of around $150,000 to the value of their home. (Like most Alaskans, they do not have earthquake insurance.) Carrie has filed paperwork with the state for assistance and is hoping for additional federal aid; however, the maximum allowed ($35,000) will fall far below the mark.

Carrie and Graham (and kiddos) are in survival mode. They have a warm, spacious place to stay (thanks to some sweet friends) and they are pushing through this disaster (like the true Alaskans they are).

Please, please, please keep this family in your prayers, lift them up, and offer support if you can. Let's help lighten the burden!
