Vasquez Family Home Fire Recovery
Donation protected
Greetings, it is with a heavy heart that I ask for your attention to a recent disaster that has struck our community directly affecting the Vasquez family. Very early on the morning of July 31st, their family home caught fire. Due to the quick action of their neighbors, all members of the family were able to escape the flames in time with no injury. Unfortunately, due to the emergent nature of the situation, they were only able to escape the house with the clothes they had on their backs and they were unable to rescue their family dog of 13 years. The family then had to watch their cherished home burn for the next two hours while first responders were unable to make any progress in controlling the flames.
Lupe Vasquez and her husband built this house together many years ago to raise their family and tragically lost everything in one night. This included not just material wealth but every memento and keepsake that documented the growth and cherished memories of their lives up to that point. They are now in the process of grieving this very traumatic loss while managing the stresses of preparing their children for the returning school year as they also attempt to rebuild their lives. We ask that you join us in surrounding this family with love and support and help provide them with the funding needed to manage day-to-day needs while simultaneously trying to restore their lives. These funds will most immediately provide the family with new clothing/back-to-school supplies, fresh meals (currently without a kitchen) and temporary housing. We appreciate any help you can offer, thank you.
