Vattic Appreciation Fund

Hey, Vattic here.

In 2010 I started the Faithful texture pack as a labour of love. With help from the community I worked on it for many years. Towards the end, my personal situation halted development, and in 2016 I logged out for the last time; Withdrawing from the community.

Recently community members got back in contact with me and I learned that someone has stolen Faithful and is selling it on the Marketplace. This is especially galling to me because I always refused donations and even adverts. Things such as Patreon were unheard of at the time.

I still feel weird about the idea of receiving money related to my work on the texture pack, but suggestions from the amazing community got me to reconsider. My finances are stagnant. What I earn goes straight back into paying rent, bills, and food. Even after taking on extra hours at work it's barely enough, and leaves me with little time or energy to do anything else. The UK is also in a situation that is looking to get worse.

If you have enjoyed my work throughout the years, a donation to show your appreciation would be more than welcome. I will use any money for both essentials, and hopefully to give me the mental space to take steps to improve my situation. If you can't afford it then please don't donate. I have a lot of gratitude for all of you in the community either way.
