GLORIA WILLIAMS HOMEGOING
Donation protected
All, it is with a heavy heart that Gloria's (Coodama) children are currently making arrangements for her homegoing service and burial. In an rapid effort to assist them in this immensely difficult time, I am establishing this fund for her final expenses. Gloria does not have life insurance. Today is the day that we must bond together to help support her family and friends.
Gloria has been hospitalized for the past 5 weeks due to her terminal illness (Liver Cirrhosis, End-Stage Renal Disease, and severe Cardiomyopathy). Cirrhosis prevents the liver from properly functioning and providing the body with the needed enzymes for normal body functions. End-stage renal disease (ESRD) is when the kidneys are no longer able to work at a level needed for day-to-day life. Cardiomyopathy severely damages the muscle tone of the heart and reduces its ability to pump blood to the rest of the body. Currently, her heart is working at 10-15 percent of its normal capacity. Unfortunately, her heart is not strong enough for her to get a liver transplant. Gloria’s primary doctors and specialities have given up on her condition by saying “there is nothing else that we can do for her except to try to keep her comfortable with high doses of Morphine”.
On Wednesday, May 27,2015, Gloria will undergo her last kidney dialysis treatment and her last dose of heart medication will be given. Stopping all medical treatment will significantly decrease her days here on Earth. She will be discharged from the hospital and sent home on hospice care with medication (Morphine) to keep her comfortable (pain-free) until her body completely shuts down.
Gloria has come to peace with her current terminal health condition and morbid situation. She has found peace with her relationship with Jesus Christ.
The costs associated with this experience are extensive and her children are asking for our help. We are asking for any type of donation to help with the process. Please never feel any amount is too small. Please take the time to give up one small thing (manicure, pedicure, haircut, pack of cigarettes, case of beer, club entrance fee, etc.) in your day or week and make a heart felt donation.
