VC Silver Circuits - Champions Again!

Last year our amazing team won the honor of representing Nevada and Storey County at the FIRST Worlds Competition in Houston, Texas! We had SO much fun (how much fun did you have?) - we had SOoooo much fun that the team made it their goal to go back.
We were a FIRST Lego League team last year (Lego robots), but started this year as a rookie FIRST Tech Challenge team (bigger, badder robots!). And even though this was our rookie year at this level- we learned what it is to work hard and represent well from our previous years -and at the State Championship games we just won one of 2 spots to represent Nevada (and Storey County!) at Worlds again!
After last year, we doubled our team size, and now have 10 fantastic kids that are smiling so hard it hurts, looking forward to competing in Houston with teams from 35 other countries. It's an opportunity of a life time (that some will have for the 2nd time!), and we (the coaches) are both daunted by all the work we need to do before we leave on April 13th, and thrilled to have the job of helping the kids make it happen again!
We've rolled up our sleeves and crunched numbers, and have realized that we'll need $22, 000 to get the team there! Yikes. The costs look like this:
Flights: $390/ea x 13 = $5070
Lodging: $220/ea x 6 rooms x 6 nights = $7920
Food: $50/ea/day x 8 days = $5200
Transportation in TX: $373/van x 3 = $1119
Registration= $2000
Fuel in TX, decorations, costume bits, etc. = $700
Total: $22,009
So we're hoping you might be able to help us - a little or a lot. We love representing our small town, and county, and the great state of Nevada - thanks for helping us make it happen - again!
